R.O.Y.A.L. DANCERS OF CITY OF REFUGE

Royal Dance Academy is a place where girls of all ages can come to experience the joy and freedom of dance. ROYAL dancers are led in partnership with Carmelita Gauthier who leads with the mission of building community and instilling resilience, optimism, and authenticity. Every Monday little girls come to our Community Resource Center decked out in tights, tutus, and slippers to learn ballet. 

Historically the arts and even more specifically, ballet, have been a foreign world to under-served areas like Oak Park. We hope to continue to bridge the gap for the young minds here and give an experience that without this program they most likely would not have the opportunity to engage in.
